Collaborative Events
To inspire students to take up science as a career, KVRSS has been working towards increasing awareness among students regarding the cutting-edge research that happens in India. We are happy to state that the schools and academic institutions have started seeking the help of KVRSS in the conduct of events. Many research institutions are now coming forward to host children, arrange for visits to their labs and interact with them to impart information as to the kind of research that happens in their institution.
KVRSS has been successful in conducting various events in collaboration with schools and scientific institutions. A major achievement in this aspect has been the signing of an MoU with a premier research institute, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad for a joint programme of science popularisation among school students. Till date KVRSS has been instrumental in arranging visits of school students from various schools of Hyderabad. Also, a number of Scientists of CSIR-IICT have delivered talks at a number of schools.
KVRSS-SPARK was taken as a bench mark by the renowned CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB), Hyderabad and collaborated with us to conduct an event on “Climate Change”. CCMB has expressed its desire to continue the event in the coming years.
KVRSS in collaboration with Indian Women Scientists’ Association (IWSA) has been conducting events for school students.
