KVRSS Research Awards - 2025

Preamble

Started in 2001, the event is held annually to promote scientific research and encourage young scientists to continue their career in basic sciences. This event is held every year to promote science at research level for research scholars and doctoral students for the exemplary work done as part of their PhD thesis work. In the early years, young researchers below 30 years from the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh, specifically in Chemistry and Allied Sciences were presented with awards. Gradually other basic sciences, Physics, Biology and Mathematics were included for the awards. From 2015, the event was gradually extended to include all the southern states of India, viz., Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. In the year 2021 KVRSS extended its reach to all the institutions across India and the event was conducted online. The online platform has not only expanded our reach to the students, but also enabled us to interact with eminent scientists from across India. The awardees are selected based on the recommendations of an expert panel of judges after careful evaluation of the research publications and technical presentations by the candidates in each category. Awards are given in four areas of basic sciences viz., Rasayanam (Chemistry), Bhoutikam (Physics), Jeevanam (Biology) and Ganitam (Mathematics).
